3rd exploitation workshop in Croatia

On September 26th CARNet team held the third exploitation workshop. The workshop was held in form of a webinar and was attended by 25 teachers of vocational schools.

During the workshop the course “Introduction to e-learning for teachers of vocational subjects” as well as the eVET2Edu project were presented. In addition to the presentation of the course, the workshop was an opportunity for a discussion with the vocational teachers about organising the course by their institutions.

This was the last exploitation workshops organised for all the interested teachers and representatives of vocational institutions and vocational schools, with the main goal to disseminate the information about the course and the possibilities of its further use after the project is finished.

2nd exploitation workshop in Croatia

On June 17th CARNet team held the second exploitation workshop. The workshop was attended by 38 teachers of vocational schools.

This is the second of the three exploitation workshops that will be organised in the coming period for all the interested teachers and representatives of vocational institutions and vocational schools, with the main goal to disseminate the information about the course and the possibilities of its further use after the project is finished.

eVET2edu presented at EDEN 2014 conference in Zagreb

The project was presented at the EDEN 2014 conference in Zagreb during the Synergy strand on June 11th, where synergies with similar projects were explored, and in the MOOCs and OERs section on June 13th, in which Agnieszka Chrzaszcz presented an article entitled “cMOOC in e-Learning Design for VET Teachers: Mapping Professional Competences Online”. The proceeding will be availiable in July.

1st exploitation workshop in Croatia

On May 30th CARNet team held the first exploitation workshop at the Agency for Vocational Education and Training and Adult Education, the institution in charge of the inservice training of vocational teachers. The workshop was attended by the representatives of the Agency, advisors for specific vocational areas.

During the workshop the course “Introduction to e-learning for teachers of vocational subjects” as well as the eVET2Edu project were presented. In addition to the presentation of the course, the workshop was an opportunity for a discussion with the Agency and advisors who work with vocational teachers about organising the course by the Agency and offering it to vocational teachers in Croatian schools, as well as to the Agency and advisors themselves.

This is the first of the three exploitation workshops that will be organised in the coming period for all the interested teachers and representatives of vocational institutions and vocational schools, with the main goal to disseminate the information about the course and the possibilities of its further use after the project is finished.

Impressions of the course participants

I am very glad I decided to participate in this course. This is a new experience for me, and also a challenge. Sometimes I used the online materials but did not know how to create them and I wasn’t familiar with the procedure of licensing of copyrighted content.

The course enabled me to get introduced to many new ICT tools. For the first time I participated in an e-course, videoconferences, and for the first time I understand how blogs, forums, Google documents, e-mail, as well as smart phones can be used in the design of instruction. Likewise, although I have been working in education for years, I have not thought about the importance of precisely specified learning outcomes for the purpose of achieving pre-defined competencies.

By attending this e-learning course and observing the activities of other participants, I see the need for greater self-discipline, better planning of time and motivation. Newly acquired knowledge will certainly be applied in my teaching practice.
