Webminars with directors of Centres in teaching and resources in Spain

In Spain there is a network of state-funding centres specializing in teaching and resources, which work closely with regional governments. Webminars were focus on presenting the course to the directors of these centres. They are not VET teachers, they are the responsible of the teacher training and the management of the educational resources. After getting all the contact information about the Centres in Spain, Spanish team started to contact to the responsibles of this Centres to arrange the online meeting (webminar). Finally we proposed different dates to do the webminars. Some of them could participate, others show their interest via email.

The aim of the webminars was to contact the directors of these Centres, because they are the ones who decide the training of VET teachers and develop some of the e-learning experiences in different part of Spain. Once the contact was created (by webminars or by email) some Centres have shown serious interest in implementing the course as a part of their teaching training for VET teachers. We have planned more meetings with these centres to help them to develop the course. In some chases we are planning to organize more meetings with the leaders of different educational institutions in the area. In other chases, we are planning to meet future facilitators of the course, to help them to facilitate VET teachers.

GITE research group has the intention of doing an annual webminar to show the work done in different projects and evet2edu would be an important part of it.

Woskshops in Spain

Spanish team has developed two workshops. One was done in JUTE event in Bilbao in February and the other one was part of Novadors 2014, in Gandía, in July.

JEDI is a well known event about ICT and Education in Spain, where a lot of teachers from educational field go to share experiences and learn from other colleges. This event are organized and funded by two important Spanish institutions: the University of Deusto and Cátedra Telefónica, specially Aulablog, a project lead by innovative teachers in Spain interested in promoting the use of technologies in education and web 2.0 tools. Participants rated the course as very positive, mainly because is focus on VET field, because there are not so many experiences in this level. Regarding the course content, they valued very positively working by competences, like the course do, and the Open License that the course has, because it represents an opportunity to modify and contextualize the content. Some participants, after making a virtual tour of the course platform, face some difficulties, like the part of the blog of the participant, but they said that it was caused because they did not know that tool in Moodle. They said they liked the organization of the content and the way of assessment.

In Novadors, the workshop was very successful. We presented, using pechakucha style, the course. Later we developed some activities with the participants. They liked the course because they said it is focus on pedagogical aspects about e-learning, not only in technological aspects. They asked about the way the course will be distributed and they brainstormed about the best way to implement the course in their institutions. A discussion about online education emerged and they analyzed some Spanish online training proposals. When carrying out some activities, several VET teachers talked about the possibility of implementing some online activities from evet2edu course, like a way to introduce ICT in their traditional classes.

Spanish team are very happy with the workshops because they represent an opportunity to share ideas and communicate with VET teachers. We are preparing Webminars with the director of different resources centres in Spain by September.

Open recruitment proccess in Spanish / Proceso de registro abierto en Español

VET teachers are invited to register in the Spanish e-learning course. The recluitment process ends at 11th of November and the course is going to take place from 18th November 2013 until 17th February 2014.

Los profesores de Formación Profesional que estén interesados en participar en el curso en Español pueden ya registrarse en el mismo. El proceso de registro finaliza el 11 de Noviembre, y el curso tendrá lugar (en castellano) del 18 de Noviembre de 2013 al 17 de Febrero de 2014.
