How to identify competences?

According to Lauzackas (2006) there are three main criteria for identifying competences:

Competence identifies the learner’s final behaviour, i.e. what he/she should be able to do after learning.
Competence clearly indicates the conditions under which this behavior occurs (using particular tools, etc.).
Competence identifies criteria for assessment of the learner’s behavior (whether it is sufficient or not).

Topic: Mastering milling machine model "N"

Subtopic	Competence
Analysis of the structure of milling machine model "N".	Define the structure of milling machine model "N", using its operation and control schemes.
Adjustment of milling machine model "N".	Adjust milling machine model "N" for work, using adjustment schema.
Processing the part with milling machine model "N".	Process the detail with milling machine model "N" under a specific scheme.

Learners will be able to...	...define...	...the structure of milling machine model "N"...	...using its operation and control schemes.
